If our information is correct (and we think it is), the story on which isusses #17-18 of Conan were based was originally titled The Gods of Bal-Sagoth and appeared in Weird Tales magazine for October 1931. It was the Second Avon Fantasy Reader some years later which retitled it (The Blonde Goddess of Bal-Sagoth); later, the Dark Man volume of Robert E. Howard stories restored the original title.
